INTEGRATION PLANNING

A practical integration checklist.

A product name is only the beginning. Versions, permissions, data quality and ownership determine what a connection can actually do.

01

Inventory the tools

Record the exact product, version and licence. Confirm whether an API, webhook or file export is available.

02

Map the data

Agree how customer IDs, product codes and transaction references match across systems. Resolve conflicting definitions early.

03

Limit the access

Grant the minimum read and write permissions required for the agreed workflow. Keep test and production access separate.

04

Plan for interruptions

Define retry limits, duplicate handling and the person who owns a failed job. Include an ordinary success, missing field and service outage in acceptance testing.
